Looking to make a real difference in your community? Volunteering with Access Care Partners is a meaningful way to give back while connecting with others. Whether you have a few hours a week or a little more time to spare, your support can have a lasting impact on the lives of older adults and individuals with disabilities who want to stay independent and thrive in their own communities.
As a volunteer, you’ll join a team of compassionate, dedicated people working to preserve dignity, independence, and quality of life for those we serve. And the best part? You’ll be part of a community that values kindness, connection, and shared purpose.
Here are just a few ways you can get involved:
As an essential part of our Nutrition Team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering nutritious meals and providing friendly safety check-ins for homebound older adults and individuals with disabilities in our community.
Volunteering as a driver is flexible and rewarding! You can choose to help out 1 to 5 days a week, with shifts lasting just 1–2 hours. Plus, we offer mileage reimbursement to thank you for your time and effort.

Make a difference in the lives of nursing home residents as an Ombudsman volunteer! You’ll be a compassionate advocate, visiting residents weekly to ensure their voices are heard and their concerns are addressed.
As an Ombudsman volunteer, you’ll build trusting relationships with residents, educate them about their rights, and work together with nursing home staff to resolve issues and improve their quality of care.
No experience? No problem! You’ll receive comprehensive training and certification from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services, along with ongoing support and guidance from WMEC’s Ombudsman Director.
