Access Care Partners is partnering with community organizations in 2026 to help older adults gain confidence to better manage their health challenges through Healthy Living workshops. These FREE, evidence-based workshops are open to anyone with one or more long-term health conditions—such as diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, or chronic pain—as well as their caregivers and loved ones. Participants receive the information, motivation, and support needed to make meaningful lifestyle changes, feel more in control of their health, and know they are not alone. Savvy Caregiver® is a class for family and friends caring for someone living with memory loss or Alzheimer’s disease.

For most family caregivers, caregiving is a new role and one for which training is needed-just as you would receive training for any new job. The Savvy Caregiver® Program helps caregivers better understand the changes their loved ones are experiencing, and how to best provide individualized care for them throughout the progression of Alzheimer’s disease or dementia. Participants will learn how to feel better about their caregiver role and how to care for themselves. The Savvy Caregiver® Program was developed by experts in caregiving techniques and goes beyond introductory educational offerings to provide clinical-level training for family caregivers.

  • ***Registration is Closed as of 5/4/2026***  Spring 2026: Mondays from May 4-June 15, 10 am-12 pm In-person at Holyoke Senior Center

I am living with numerous chronic health conditions. This recent workshop is my second time attending. This workshop not only provides accurate information on managing, improving, and coping with chronic conditions; it also connects individuals with others who have similar health concerns. It provides a safe space for all who participate to feel welcomed and comfortable to share. It is a great way to reduce isolation and establish healthy connections to peers. I used this workshop to build on the knowledge I am already aware of, as a refresher, and to learn new strategies and coping skills.

I appreciate that this workshop was offered to me free of charge. If there had been a fee associated with my participation, financially I would not have been able to attend.
