Access Care Partners Offering Healthy Living Workshops in 2026

Access Care Partners is launching a robust year-long series of free Healthy Living workshops in 2026 designed to support older adults, individuals with long-term health conditions — and their caregivers — in gaining practical tools for better health, wellness, and peace of mind.

Through a mix of virtual and in-person classes, the workshops offer a variety of topics to meet participants where they are. Among the offerings:

  • Memory Training — a four-week series teaching memory-enhancing strategies for people experiencing mild age-related memory changes (Winter, Summer, and Fall sessions in Holyoke and Chicopee).
  • Living Well with Long-Term Health Conditions — a six-week class focused on healthy eating, stress-management, goal-setting, communication skills, and self-care aimed at improving chronic condition symptoms (starts Winter 2026, offered via Zoom).
  • A Matter of Balance – Managing Concerns About Falls — an eight-session program to help participants reduce fear of falling and learn practical fall-prevention techniques through exercise, environmental awareness, and behavioral strategies (offered Summer and Fall 2026 at several senior centers).
  • Savvy Caregiver® Program — spring 2026 sessions for family members and friends caring for someone with memory loss or Alzheimer’s, offering training on how to cope with evolving needs and take care of themselves as caregivers. These evidence-based workshops are offered at no cost and are open to anyone with one or more long-term health conditions — such as diabetes, heart disease, arthritis or chronic pain — as well as their caregivers and loved ones.

“Whether you’re managing a chronic condition or helping someone you care about do so — these classes are meant to empower you with tools, motivation, and support,” says Andi Waisman, Healthy Living Coordinator at Access Care Partners.
